Yerevan to Get New Metro Station. The Armenian government has approved the allocation of AMD 1.1 billion for the acquisition of the design and cost estimate for the construction of a new metro station in Ajapnyak, Yerevan. The new station will be 1.5 km long and will take four years to complete, including the construction of a metro bridge.
This was announced by Yerevan’s Deputy Mayor, Tigran Avinyan, who also hinted at plans for another metro station in the area of Petak trade center. In addition, there are two other potential directions, one towards Davtashen and the other towards the depths of Ajapniak administrative district.
This new metro station is a much-needed addition to Yerevan’s transportation infrastructure, providing a faster and more efficient mode of transport for the growing population. It will undoubtedly bring new opportunities for businesses, residents, and tourists alike.
