The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan instructed to strengthen control over “Armenian armed formations”

The press service of the military department of Azerbaijan reports that on December 10, the operational situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, as well as in the areas of the temporary deployment of the Russian peacekeeping troops, was discussed at the meeting of the board of the Ministry of Defense.

“Corresponding instructions were given in the direction of further strengthening the monitoring and control of the activities of illegal Armenian armed groups in the areas of temporary deployment of the Russian peacekeeping troops in the Karabakh economic region,” the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan says.

It is also reported that Minister Hasanov “highly appreciated” the attacks of Azerbaijan’s armed forces against Armenia during the past year, and also stated that the joint Turkish-Azerbaijani military exercises “Brotherly Fist” “contribute to ensuring stable peace and security in the region.”
