The Armenian Church Has No Tradition of Worshiping Statues - The US Armenians

Earlier it was reported that Gagik Tsarukyan had announced a tender for the design of the statue of Christ.

The Armenian Apostolic Church has not yet expressed an official position on the statue.

However, Father Yesa Artenyan, Director of the Information System of the Mother See, says: “In general, the worship of statues is characteristic of the Catholic Church. There are usually no statues in the traditions and culture of the Armenian Church, there are usually no statues, but there may be khachkars or icons in churches.
