Prelacy Armenian Schools and Preschools have extended a helping hand to the Syrian Armenian Community affected by the February 6 earthquake in Northern Syria.
The largely Armenian-populated city of Aleppo was devastated by the earthquake, causing fatalities and damaging homes. The Armenian community was forced to seek refuge in Armenian centres and churches. In response to this crisis, the Board of Regents, alongside its administrators, organized fundraisers to support the Syrian Armenian Community. The fundraising efforts were met with an overwhelming response from parents, teachers, staff, and students, with over $40,000 being donated to the Western Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The Board of Regents and Prelacy Armenian Schools and Preschools are committed to supporting the Syrian Armenian Community, and they stand ready to contribute to the preservation of Armenian communities within the diaspora.
Support the Syrian Armenian Community by donating to the Prelacy Armenian Schools Syrian Armenian Earthquake Relief Fund. You can visit the Prelacy website or mail your check payable to: Western Prelacy of Armenian Apostolic Church – 104 N. Belmont St., #208, Glendale, CA 91206.
