During a meeting with US President Joe Biden, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan intends to raise the White House’s recognition of the Armenian massacres by the Ottoman Empire as the Armenian Genocide.

Erdogan announced his intention during his trip to Brussels, adding that the White House’s decision frustrated Turkey, Reuters reports.

Erdogan also plans to discuss the US government’s pledges regarding the F-35 and Patriot defense systems, as well as Turkey’s renunciation of the Russian S-400, Ahval news agency reports.

“Turkey defends its borders and the borders of NATO,” Erdogan said, highlighting Turkey’s fight against terrorism and repressions that Turkey faces as a result of illegal migration.
