Aronian leads FIDE Grand Prix In His Group
Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian, playing under the US flag, is leading in the first tournament of the FIDE Grand Prix series in Berlin.
In the second round, the Armenian chess player played a draw with Russia’s Daniel Dubov. After two rounds, Aronian leads the tournament table with 1.5 points. His rivals Dubov and German GM Vincent Kaymer scored 1 point each.
